24-Inch Purple XJD Beach Cruiser Bike with U-Brake

Product details

The XJD 24-Inch Purple Beach Cruiser is built for girls and young women roughly ages 8 through 18, with the 24-inch wheel size suiting riders about 4'8"–5'4" tall. The core draw is comfortable, low-effort riding: a step-through high-tensile steel frame, a practical basket and rear rack, and a classic cruiser look that works as well for neighborhood rides as for weekend errands.

What age and height is it for?

Fit guidance for this model covers ages 8 to 18 years, and the 24-inch version is designed for riders approximately 4'8" to 5'4". If your rider is taller than about 5'4", XJD also makes this cruiser in a 26-inch version sized for 5'4"–6'0" riders. As always, age is a starting point—confirm your rider can stand over the frame, reach the handlebars and brakes comfortably, and mount and dismount steadily before the first ride.

Key features

• Step-through frame: low-step, high-tensile steel (carbon steel) frame makes hopping on and off easy for teens and casual riders.
• Practical carrying capacity: hand-woven rattan front basket for groceries, handbags, or picnic supplies, plus a sturdy rear rack for backpacks and cargo bags.
• Drivetrain: single speed with chain drive and cassette—simple and low-maintenance for cruising (note: some variants of this model offer a 7-speed Shimano setup; check the configuration on the product page).
• Brakes: U-brake for reliable stopping.
• Tires: anti-slip cream-colored tires that are puncture-resistant, wear-resistant, and quiet on pavement and light gravel.
• Fenders: full-coverage fenders keep mud, water, and dirt off clothes on wet roads.
• Adjustable seat and an included kickstand.
• Suspension: rear suspension.

Where can it be ridden?

This cruiser is intended for paved roads and light unpaved trails—commutes, bike paths, beach promenades, and weekend rides. The cream tires handle pavement and light gravel smoothly but aren't built for aggressive off-road use.

Assembly & what's in the box

Assembly is rated easy and takes about 25 minutes. The bike arrives 85% pre-assembled with detailed instructions and the tools you need, so most parents can finish setup at home without a shop visit. A kickstand is included.

Safety details

• No training wheels—this bike is for riders who can already balance and control a two-wheeler.
• After assembly or any adjustment, an adult should check fasteners, tire condition, steering, saddle position, and brake response before the first ride.
• Always use age-appropriate protective equipment and active adult supervision for younger riders.

Bottom line: if your rider is between roughly 4'8" and 5'4" and wants a comfortable, style-forward cruiser for everyday rides, this 24-inch purple XJD is a solid pick. Riders taller than about 5'4" should choose the 26-inch version instead, and kids who still need training wheels should start on a smaller kids' bike.
